The Remarkable Studio was originally built around Peter Searight’s landscape photographs, but light and movement has increasingly been used to bring people, performance and events to life in his pictures, with new possibilities being presented by digital photography techniques.

The first landscapes were of local Sussex countryside, and these used light in unusual ways to create atmospheric and calming pictures. These and other photographs are available as framed prints, greetings cards and calendars, which can be customized to particular needs. The greetings card range has grown from local views to scenes from different parts of the UK and overseas, and animals and flowers. There is also an expanding image library.

Portrait and commercial commissions are becoming important to us: these are a far cry from the traditional posed shots and the intention is to present life in a relaxed way, using light and often movement to bring the pictures to life – whether the subjects are people, animals or commercial locations.
